 The band Noisettes are back, 2 years after their first album What's The Time Mr. Wolf ?, with an astounding single, "Don't Upset The Rhythm", first single from their upcoming album Wild Young Hearts : discover the video.
With the Noisettes, we don't expect what we expected. 2 years after What's The Time Mr. Wolf ?, their first album between punk & blues-rock, the London-based trio is back with Wild Young Hearts, elegant pop songs with soul, disco & sounding like the best blues & jazz songs. "Some bands keep the same style. They reunite because they share the same musical tastes, they don't do anything different. We are a gang but also 3 divas with different record collections, we discover different music, like jazz, Van Morrison or Black Sabbath. For us, making music means keeping ears open" the singer, Shingai Shoniwa, said. Thanks to her voice, she has been compared to Deborah Harry, Kate Bush, Billie Holiday & Diana Ross.
The thing that didn't change with the Noisettes : they still keep in touch with their audience. Described as "Britain's best band" by "The Guardian", during a recent show in London, Shoniwa threw herself into the audience, playing guitar & singing on a ladder, stuck to the ceiling.
