I dunno, but it feels like a better, remasterised copy of a 60s,70s, or even 50s song, dont u think? I've got that very weird feeling at the back of my mind I've already heard it somewhere (the guitar riff and the beat anyway). But does that really matter, I mean all artists draw inspiration from somewhere before starting off a new piece, or song for that matter. I love this song and doesnt matter who sang it first. ive always loved the strokes, they just keep getting better in my eyes...
i liked 'juicebox' but i love 'heart in a cage', far more than i loved 'reptilia' (the song i first heard from the strokes) wen it first came out.
i think this song is their purest most defined sounding to date, i always felt that there was a muffled quality to their music- in a great way of course, goes great with julian's voice but i luv how he more or less melodically sings in this song. luv the baritone =]
