The Zutons reveal Abba influence

 Speaking exclusively to Xfm The Zutons' Dave McCabe revealed new tune 'Bumbag' has an Abba influence.
Writing to us from LA - in the midst of climbing canyons and recording their third album at Sunset Studios - The Zutons' vocalist told us:
"I've just been singing on new tune called 'Bumbag' which sounds like Abba fighting New Order on a barmcake."
The band are currently working with producer George Drakoulias of Primal Scream fame and are gagging to get back on the gigging circuit, as McCabe added:
"I'm starting to get excited about finishing everything, I can't wait to do a gig again, it's defo my favourite time of being a Zuton."
They'll be gracing us with their first tour in two years from June 5 playing several woodland locations in t'ut countryside of England.
With the Isle Of Wight festival already in their summer diary, the follow up to 'Tired Of Hanging Around' should be with us this spring, so watch this space for more details. |
