To understand lyrics is not truly to know the feeling they relate, but yes, identifying with them is required to a certain degree. Having listened to many genres of music, and finding myself liking the majority, my life would be some abstract resemblance of a soap opera scripted by Picasso himself if i actually lived all the songs i understood.
I particularly enjoy the lines "I grab at you... I can`t stop grabbing at you." The way he sings them is performed with so much feeling that it seems that even if sung in a monotone, they would still remain somehow emphasized.

This song was totally about me when my ex broke up with me. All the lyrics are absolutely perfect.

I knew he was bad for me, and our relationship was over, yet I still thought there was something there.

| I agree with heidiskye. This song just describes everything that I felt when I liked my friend and knew he liked me too...we were just too afraid that something would happen if either of us admitted it.
In the end we waited too long, and afterwords realized the feeling was mutual, but by that time the whole friendship had just been torn apart by not saying anything. |
