Actually, the rumor was that the song came from an actual murder that happened near Possum Kingdom Lake in Texas. The band was based out of Dallas, Tx. Their song Tyler is another one that was supposedly an actual murder in Tyler, Tx. After many a furious debate, my friend and I have come up with one of two things going on in this song.
1) The female in the song is being taken behind the boathouse and ends up getting murdered by the singer, amoungst other things...
or
2) She goes behind the boathouse with him and his dark secret is that he is, of all things, a vampyre. This would make sense in the "My dark secret" line, as well as the lines describing how her skin would always stay soft.
