 6 posts | Do you wonder why it is rated perfect from me? Because it is truthfully one of the most perfect albums out on the market today, in my top 5 albums list. It is arguably the best Tool album and flows like few albums can. It is clearer sounding than Aenima (the runner-up) and not as dark, which isn't a bad or good thing. It wasn't as controversial as the two albums before it, but what makes it slightly better than Aenima is the fact that it is a little more spiritual and uplifting. Aenima is like its polar extreme. Lateralus to me is a message about transcendence of the soul. Even if this may not be the real interpretation, it is what I like to think it is. To listen to this album in its entirety is to discover something mysterious within it that compells you. |
