AboutTreasure is a South Korean boy band formed in 2019 by YG Entertainment through the reality-survival program YG Treasure Box. The twelve-piece group equally shares joint leadership among the eldest members, Choi Hyun-suk and Jihoon, and debuted on August 7, 2020 with the single album, The First Step: Chapter One.
The group were dubbed as "Global Super Rookies" in 2020 and were considered as one of the most commercially successful South Korean act to debut that year. They became the fastest to chart on Billboard's Social 50, and earned numerous new artist of the year awards including "Rookie of the Year (Male)" at the Asia Artist Awards and "Best New Male Artist" alongside "Worldwide Fans' Choice" at the Mnet Asian Music Awards. Outside of music, the group actively participates in various charitable events.
