After "Get On Your Boots", N°6 in France, U2 has already sent the follow-up to radios : "Magnificent". Also, the Irish band, N°1 in the Top albums, will release a new album later this year : listen to a short clip.
The Irish band is in the spotlight ! Whereas their new album No Line On The Horizon entered N°1 in the Top albums, with 64,000 copies sold, U2 chose the second single from this album, "Magnificent" (even if "White As Snow" is our favourite).
Listen to a short clip of "Magnificent" here.
But that's not over ! Bono's band treated Coldplay's singer Chris Martin as a "w*nker" & "witty" (not so witty, Chris Martin)... They also plan to release another album later this year. The follow-up of No Line On The Horizon should be named Songs Of Ascent, including "Every Breaking Wave". The album should sound like Miles Davis & John Coltrane, according to the band.
No Line On The Horizon, recorded in Fez, Morocco, then in Dublin, in the Irish band's studio, in New York & in London, would be "extraordinary", according to Jimmy Iovine, from the label Interscope Records. Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois & Steve Lillywhite, the rock band's long-time friends, have participated to it.
Also, Charts In France proposes you to win U2's album. To know more about it, click here.
The band will be on tour next summer, on July 11 at Paris' Stade De France & on July 15 at Nice's Nikaia, for their new worldwide tour "360° Tour". Tickets will be on sale from March 20.
