He was the singer of the band UB 40, one of the best British reggae bands. Today, Ali Campbell leaves the band he joined 30 years ago...
UB 40, created in 1978, lost their leader recently. Ali Campbell, the singer, decided to leave the band who went everywhere to sing their favourite music. The boys from the English Midlands (which name referred to an unemployment code there) had sung "Kingston Town" (N°1 in 1990) but also "I Got You Babe" (N°29 in 1985) & "(I Can't Help) Falling In Love With You" (N°5 in 1993).
UB 40 is one of the first reggae bands. Ali Campbell wishes his old friends a good career for the years to come...
