Umberto Tozzi covers Francis Cabrel

Before his new album, released on May 25, Umberto Tozzi sent to radios the Italian version of Francis Cabrel's song, "Stella D'Amore" (Petite Marie) : listen to a short clip.

Umberto Tozzi, born on March 4, 1952 in Torino, is known for his hits "Ti Amo", "Tu" & "Gloria" in the late 70's, often performed live or included in Best Of. In 2002, he got a successful come-back thanks to 2 French singers, Lena Ka on "Ti Amo (Rien Que Des Mots)" (N°3 in 2002) & Cérena (whose new album La Parenthèse hasn't been released yet) on "Toi, Tu" (N°5 in 2003).

Umberto Tozzi's career slowed down, but every album release is successful : his latest concert at Paris' Olympia (on February 15, 2006 with Marco Masini) was really successful. In September 2008, he released his cover of Francis Cabrel's "Petite Marie", "Stella D'Amore", sent to French radios today, before his new album No Solo Live, released on May 25.
