Hey (x3)
When you look you see right through me,
Cut the rope, I fell to my knees,
Born and broken every single time,
Always keep me under finger,
That's the spot where you run to me,
Might see some type of pleasure in my mind,
Yeah, here comes the water,
It comes to wash away the sins of you and I,
This time you'll see,
Hey (x3)
When you seek me, you destroy me,
Rape my mind and smell the poppies,
Born and bloodied every single time,
Always keep me under finger,
That's the spot where you might linger,
Might see some type of pleasure in my mind,
Yeah, here comes the water,
It comes to wash away the sins of you and I,
This time you'll see, like holy water,
It only burns you faster than you'd ever dry,
This time with me,
Oooh Ooooh
(Guitar Solo)
When you look you see right through me,
Cut the rope, I fell to my knees,
Born and blooded every single time,
Yeah, here comes the water,
It comes to wash away the sins of you and I,
This time you'll see, like holy water,
It only burns you faster than you'd ever dry,
This time with me,
Hey(x3)

| I like the song but i sorta thinnk that they're too old to be singing cool songs like this even though they sing it well i think they should take a break from their flourishinmg careers. lol | 27-05-2004 15:22 NightHobbit |

| 'Too old to sing cool songs'
You msut be joking, your never to old to produce music.
What are you on?
There are plenty of old rockers expecially supergroups like Audioslave and Velvet revolver have 'older' members as you might say, who can still produce quality music, just becuase of your age doesn't mean you have to retire.
It's all a matter of personal choice. | 05-06-2004 17:52 MsBoricua17 | 143 posts
| I don't wanna sound cliche but Velvet Revolver rules!! Scott Weiland has like the best set of vocals and slash is the best guitar player hands down!! They are a really great band and i hope that we give them the recognition they deserve! | 05-06-2004 20:28 MissingMyself | 20 posts
| Very, very good song. G n' R might have blown it at the Vh1 awards reunited performance, but Slash is still rockin' it! He is my absolute favorite guitarist! Scoot Weiland is a good singer, too. Even if he's always screwed on drugs and alcohal. | 08-06-2004 19:28 Nevermind20 | 39 posts
| Too old to sing cool songs?
Thats bullsh*t, maybe your too young to listen to awesome music like this lol.
Before i ever heard velvet revolver, i was huge about scotty weiland and STP. And i heard slither haveing no clue slash or scott were in the band and i totally loved the song. And when they said scott and slash were part of the band i became like obsessed with them. Scott weiland is a total wild man. I still watch the video of STP playing live and scott had a dress on, and had lipstick all around his mouth, it was crazy. Slither is an awesome song by i think what could be one of the next greatest bands of all time. | 09-06-2004 23:41 tom_cruuuz | 389 posts

well im glad we're listening to bands for the music *rolls eyes*...lets be honest axl probaby does have a better set of pipes than weiland...but hes still total d*ck...and have you seen axl recently...so much plastic surgery that he barerecognizable...its like he took a page out of michael jackson's "how to deal with becoming a celebrity" booklet me put it to you this why i'd rather have a guy whos a @$$ to his fans because of his drug addiction than a guy whos an @$$ to his fans because of his own self inflated ego...don't feel sorry for slash...he's sober and working with a singer whos already proven he'll show up for gigs...hes done more now than he has in 13 years | 15-06-2004 16:16 NightHobbit |

| and now Axl's screwed because buckethead left the band...ya thats right buckethead...laugh all you like but in terms of technical proficiency buckethead completely and totally owns slash on the guitar...if you dont believe me pick up some of buckethead's solo stuff...he's the only guitar player i've heard that can do 8 finger tapping and make it sound like music
i just hate Axl rose...he acts like the fans owe him his celebrity...no one owes him sh!t...without fans your nothing...i honestly dont know who can respect a guy whos slapped his fans in the face as often as he has | 15-06-2004 16:44 NightHobbit |

| But you gotta love slash and the other two for amking a wise career choice. I think Velvet Revolver will end up being one of the greats, there's just something in their name.
I mean to leave one of the biggest bands in the world to creating another not yet even known band, who are just starting up must be jumping the shark. | 16-06-2004 23:37 dubblebubble63 | 33 posts
| [offtopic] Hey my name is Sydney, and I was reading some of your guys stuff, and what your saying is partially true. The stuff about Axl being a jack@$$ to his fans, ya he was/is. But you gotta respect Slash for being able to get away from it and starting over. I think that GnRs was probably one the great bands in rock history, and Velvet Revolver may not be anything like that, but they still rock. I mean, GnRs took a lot of stuff that had already been done, and made it better, but Velvet Revolver is genuine, if you know what I mean. Dont get me wrong, I am a true GnRs fan, but Velvet Revolver is doing great for their first CD. All they're song are their own **as far as I know at least** and they all have a genuine sound. Slash is a GREAT guitarist, maybe one of the best, and I totally respect him for starting over in a new band. I just hope the Velvet Revolver goes as far as GnRs did.
E-mail me if you wanna dubblebubble56@cox.net and thanks for listening.
