We Are Scientists have turned writing their new album into an epic holiday.
The band, who announced last week they have recruited former Razorlight drummer Andy Burrows as an "honouree scientist" for their next record, have hit the road to demo the follow-up to 2008's 'Brain Thrust Mastery'.
"I've been down in Athens [Georgia]," explained Keith Murray. "I rented myself a cottage and I've been writing songs for the past couple of months."
However the faux hermit admitted he is hardly suffering for his art.
"It sounds 'off the beaten track' but my time there has not curbed my ability to spend the entire night hanging out and wake up with a hangover that impedes my day!" Murray admitted, laughing.
He added: "I'm going to Miami to live on the beach for a month next! Are my writing retreats just cool places to hang out? I'm glad you noticed my savvy-ness, I think Miami Beach may be more distracting though."
