William Baldé - Biography

| William Baldé was born in Guinea. He followed his father in Senegal, then in Paris. He loved singing & music, influenced by blues, soul & French music. He founded his first band YUBA, which was SACEM's Grand Prix in 1996. However, the band wasn't successful & William went to Asia, Africa & Northern Europe. In 2000, he met a songwriter, Gil Gimenez. The 2 men started composing quickly & William signed to Warner. His first maxi appeared in 2007 & he performed before Christophe Maé. Success came in 2008 with his hit "Rayon De Soleil", N°1 during 9 weeks. |
