 After one of his suicide attempts, the Japanese bassist (former member of X Japan) died on July 17 in Northern Mariana Islands, after having been arrested for violence on a flight attendant. He was 45.
Taiji Sawada, born on July 12, 1966 in Japan, committed suicide on July 17. He has been one of the bassists of the Japanese metal band X Japan. According to the "Saipan Tribune", the artist had been arrested for violence on a flight attendant in Saipan, the capital of Northern Mariana Islands. The artist attempted suicide by hanging with the sheet of his prison cell, he had been put on life support & died later. Watch Taiji Sawada live with X Japan here. Taiji Sawada joined X Japan in 1986. He also composed songs like "Dear Loser", "Desperate Angel" & "Voiceless Screaming". He left the band in 1992 & became Loudness' bassist until 1994, when he founded DTR. The band hasn't been successful & split in 1996. In 1998, Taiji learnt Hide's death & went to his funeral with former X Japan members. After that, Taiji was a guitarist, bassist & singer in the pop-rock band Otokaze. In 2007, he played with DTR again. In 2010, he played with X Japan again at Yokohama's Nissan Stadium, so fans could see that he & Yoshiki were close each other.
