 Incredible ! Yael Naïm is going to take a record with a French artist in American charts. Her English single "New Soul" entered N°9 this week in American singles charts.She's one of the great surprises of 2008 : Yael Naïm entered N°9 in the American Billboard with her single "New Soul". Whereas the singer's song was only played on radios 3 times last week, the song is also used in the commercial for MacBook Air by Apple so 135,000 Americans downloaded "New Soul". Let's wish her the best... Her album is about to be released in other European countries. Yael Naïm was born in 1978 in Paris, to Tunisian Jewish parents. She first appeared in Pascal Obispo & Élie Chouraqui's musical "Les Dix Commandements" then in Maxime Le Forestier's musical "Gladiateur". She recorded the theme song of the film "Harrison's Flowers" & released her first album, unnoticed, in 2001. She got more successful late 2007 with her second album.
