Yael is the surprise of this year

 The singer was discovered in the musical "Les Dix Commandements". 7 years after, she enters directly N°11 in French album charts with her magnificent second album and the hit "New Soul".
Who believed it ? Whereas nobody from Pascal Obispo & Elie Chouraqui's musical suceeeded in solo, Yael Naïm is the surprise with her second album, not only lauded by critics but also praised by the audience, and entering French albums charts directly N°11 one week after its release. And the first single "New Soul" is N°3 on legal download !
A nice success for this singer-songwriter, a trained pianist. From Israel, Yael Naïm started her solo career in 2001, without success, with her first album In A Man's Womb, followed by the song from Elie Chouraqui's film "Harrison's Flowers", named "You Disappear". Since then, she appeared on stage in the unsuccessful musical "Gladiateur", then nothing.
Yael left everybody and started working on her album, the one of the consecration. Sublime songs in Hebrew & English appeared on this CD, released on the label Tôt Ou Tard (with a new site), elected "finest label" with artists like Thomas Fersen, Franck Monnet, Jeanne Cherhal, Da Silva, Agnès Jaoui...
If you like Noa, folk music, sweet & melodic ambiance, go and buy this album that should probably be a success in 2008.
Yael will be in concert at Paris' Boule Noire from November 23 to December 15, with David Donatien (musician for Gérald Toto, Malia, Bernard Lavilliers & Julien Baer) who helped her to produce her new album, after trying to found a band with Yael some years ago.
