Spa's Francofolies cancelled

Back from a tour in Japan, singer Yves Duteil got injured in a car accident. He had a cracked rib & a pain in the back, forcing him to cancel his concert at Spa's Francofolies, in Belgium, scheduled for tomorrow.

First scheduled for tomorrow, July 21, at Spa's Théâtre in Belgium, for the Francofolies, singer Yves Duteil was forced to cancel his concert. The concert of his supporting act Alix Léone is cancelled too. Tickets will be given back.

"Back from a tour in Japan on July 16, I was happy to see you in Spa for the concert on July 21. A 36-ton truck prevented me to do so. The shock has been brutal, even if we were going slow" Yves Duteil said in a letter given to the festival's organisers.

At first, the singer wanted to perform live. But he had a cracked rib & a pain in the back. "I must say it, I can't perform live, because of the pain & my cracked rib takes my breath away to sing. I should take more time to recover, I regret it but I cancel my concert, a rare event in my career" he added.
